Sure you don't mean the Yak-27? The Yak-26 was a bomber variant of the
Yak-25, and never entered service. The Yak-27, however, was a high-altitude
reconaissance variant.

I am also deep into RC Airplanes. I try to build one every winter. I built
a Boomerang this year in a 60 size. I didn't use the turbine engine due to
the cost so I installed a ducted fan instead. The plane flys great and is
scary fast.

Jay Miller calls it the 26 however he also believes it may be called
the Yak-25RD according to his book on the U-2, perhaps I need a newer
edition of this book.
"lockheed U-2 page 118 Jay Miller 1983 edition.
